The Company started its operations in 2014, however, its dynamic team has a wide expertise in various spheres of law that is supported by more than 30 years of its Partners’ collective experience in the legal fraternity.

Our Partners are acknowledged specialists in their respective fields and complement each other’s strengths and areas of expertise, with the definite objective of ensuring that the Firm delivers a comprehensive and cost-effective service.

Our Partner’s proficiency has been garnered through years of working with and for some of the country’s most prestigious law firms and now they bring this to bear in a law firm that has the strategic insight and understanding into the South African Business landscape.

Management and Ownership

The firm is 100% black owned and managed.

MAXHOBA MONDLI WAKABA

Serves as the company’s management partner and he holds BJuris and LLB degrees from the University of Transkei (now known as Walter Sisulu University of Technology).

He served his articles at Chuene Kwinana Motsatse (“CKM”) in 2000 and was admitted as an attorney in 2002.

He has extensive experience in commercial and corporate law (viz drafting and reviewing of commercial contracts, advising on corporate governance and compliance matters, mergers and acquisitions); Pension Law; Wills, Estates and Trusts;
Civil and Commercial Litigation); Labour (arbitrations, labour court appearances, chairing and prosecuting in disciplinary hearings, drafting of policies); and conveyancing (property transfers, bond registrations, land acquisitions and disposals, drafting leases and agreements of sale). Perfection of Notarial bonds (having done some work on this field on behalf of IDC).

He has served as a Director at Kwinana Nyapotse Inc from 2005 to 2008. During this time viz 2005 the firm was voted by Ernst & Young in its annual Corporate - Finance - Review Activity, 15th Edition (Mergers and Acquistions) as one of the top legal advisors in mergers and acquisitions in South Africa.

From 2008 to 2013 he served as a partner and director at Kwinana and Partners Inc heading the Property and Litigation Departments.

SABELO NOBANGULE

Serves as a partner in the Firm’s Litigation and Public Procurement Department. He holds a BJuris from the University of Fort Hare and an LLB degree from
the University of Port Elizabeth.

He was admitted as an attorney in 2002 and obtained his right of appearance at the High Court in 2003.

His areas of practice include Labour Law, Civil, Criminal Litigation and Administrative Law Review. He worked for both the Johannesburg Municipality and later one of its entities (Johannesburg Roads Agency), where he has served as Legal Services Manager for a number of years.

He is currently involved in a Black Lawyers Training Programme wherein he conducts lectures/ trainings on municipal legislation for attorneys, advocates, in-house counsel, procurement managers etc.

What We Do

The Company operates as a general law practice with expertise in inter alia Commercial and Corporate Law; Pension Law; Wills, Estates and Trusts; Labour Law; Property Law; Debt Collection and Litigation. The firm also serves as company secretaries and corporate governance advisors.

The firm runs an integrated multi-disciplinary practice that is founded on credibility, reliability and delivery. Our advisory services, spanning many diverse industries have made us the favoured legal consultant by many of the country’s successful enterprises.

The Company is based in Randburg, Gauteng and is within the jurisdiction of both the Randburg and the Johannesburg Magistrate Courts, High Court-Gauteng Local Division, Labour Court, Land Claims Court, The Constitutional Court and The Johannesburg Deeds office.
